chest press vol. 1 ‘first curse’ is Sjoerd Nieuwkoop’s first personal take on electronic punk music.

During all the years of playing guitars within numerous punk bands, the electronic music side always kept a safe outlet between the bedroom walls. Now finally these first experiments are seeing the sunlight thanks to record label Geertruida. Expect a blend of electric guitars, digital drums and mono synthesizers.

Musically inspired by 80’s wave and loads of lo-fi eastern-europe and russian punk music. Think bands like Ploho, The End of Electronics, Deux, Solid Space and The Kvb.
